Pete has always been a music fan since he can remember and was fond of Rock and Roll music as a young man with a special liking for Elvis Presley.
He had always wanted to sing and began doing so by chance when he was invited to appear with
Ace Scudder who was, at the time, the pianist for Shakin’ Stevens. He performed many times with Ace at local pub venues and was bitten by the bug to perform.
This led Pete to the professional path as a singer and he has since been successful as a performer in many theatres, clubs, TV shows and recording studios around the UK. This has included appearances with Herman’s Hermits, Jethro,The Rocking Berries, The Baron Knights and more recently, Mary Duff, Adrian Walsh and Amanda Normansell.
He was short-listed from 10,000 entrants to the final 16 for the Elvis Stars In Their Eyes Christnas Special and was a semi-finalist on Sky Star Search. In addition to this, he has appeared on many TV shows such as Casualty, Dr. Who and Antiques Roadshow!
He has performed many times on the holiday camp circuit, including Butlins, Haven etc and has also
appeared at many theatres around the country which includes playing to packed houses at his annual show at the Playhouse Theatre in his home town.
Pete has also performed with tribute shows to Matt Monro, Nat King Cole and Engelbert Humerdinck.
He is also a regular performer at Brinsworth Retirement Home For The Stars and has appeared alongside the likes of Bruce Forsythe.
Pete has also co-written many songs with Cliff Moore and has recorded many times in various studios. This included a Country album (with Cliff) as ‘The Raging Flames’ which had some success in the European country charts alongside the single, ‘Little Miss Hurricane’.
